About This Quote

Is it not the same distance to God everywhere? It is the same distance to God everywhere. This quote is also known as "The Rabbi and The Christian." Rabbi Yohanan ben Zakkai lived in the late first-century and was a strong advocate of Jesus. He invited Jesus and his disciples to his home and gave them a place to stay. Unfortunately, the Romans came and killed everyone who was Jewish except for Jesus and seven of his disciples. When Jesus said, "All things must be fulfilled that are written about me," Yohanan called him a deceiver because he had taught that he would only return once every 1,000 years.
